Who We Are
In the summer of 1945, Charlotte businessman F.H. Ross, Sr. and Carrier Corporation engineer C.N. Witmer formed one of the Charlotte area’s first heating and air conditioning companies. Mr. Ross and Mr. Witmer had a simple, shared goal: to expertly install high quality products made by a leading manufacturer. And so began the exemplary HVAC contractor that is an industry leader today.
Since its acquisition by Ralph W. Phillips, the air conditioning company has been family-operated for three generations. Through each generation, Ross & Witmer has been committed to providing high-quality and efficient heating, cooling, and mechanical service to homes and businesses. The company’s dedication to excellence has made it one of the most respectful and successful HVAC contractors in the Charlotte and Hendersonville/Asheville areas.
We are an HVAC contractor that specializes in innovative air conditioning services and HVAC solutions that make indoor environments more comfortable, healthy and energy efficient. Our mission is to provide the highest quality, most efficient services in the industry, and we accomplish this mission through continuous innovation and improvement, constantly raising our quality standards, increasing productivity and enhancing our expertise in the cutting-edge technology transforming our industry.
Maintaining a comfortable atmosphere in your Charlotte home or business is one of your top priorities. You likely use heating and cooling systems to ensure that you’re comfortable in your space no matter what the weather is like outside. Whether you’re considering having a new system installed or need maintenance completed on your current comfort system, it pays to work with licensed HVAC contractors. Only trained dealers and technicians can provide you with top-notch services on which you can rely.
Residential HVAC Services
As a homeowner, it’s important that you work with an air conditioning company you can trust. There are many heating and cooling system options on today’s market. Without professional guidance, you might choose the right fit for your family’s needs. A system that is too large for your home is as inefficient as a system that is too small. Your friendly, professional contractor can take care of all installation tasks and can help you to select a new home heating or cooling system, using the appropriate load calculations. By using the right methods you can be sure your technician is installing the most energy-efficient system.
Of course, regular maintenance and service appointments are key to keeping your HVAC system in good running order. Schedule maintenance and tune-up appointments at least twice a year; once before cooling season and once before heating season. Doing so will help you to protect the value of your investment and help you stay comfortable in your own home.
Commercial HVAC Services
Business owners have very different needs when it comes to choosing HVAC systems. You want to ensure that your employees and clients are comfortable but you are also concerned about energy costs. Perhaps you need to find a new, efficient system that can be installed without making significant alterations to your current building. Your contractor will provide you with the best advice possible taking all of your concerns and needs into consideration. Of course, you’ll need to schedule regular maintenance appointments to protect the value of your investment.
